Sam received her BFA in Drama, with an Acting specialization, from Illinois Wesleyan University, and her MA in Theatre from Michigan State University. During the 2005-2006 theatre season, Sam directed The House of Blue Leaves for MSU’s Arena Theatre and performed in Peppermint Creek Theatre Co.’s production of Assassins, garnering Thespie Awards for both endeavors. She has performed with the BoarsHead Theater and has been a teaching artist in their educational outreach program with community youth. For MSU, Sam has taught acting and theatrical play analysis, as well as an Integrative Arts and Humanities course on theatre and society.
